| Global Purchasing Services Inc. was founded in Stratford, Ontario in 1994 by Brian Smith, a 25-year veteran of the purchasing industry. Brian spent many years observing a variety of manufacturing processes and wanted to use his experience to help manufacturers reduce their costs by identifying reliable sources for materials, implementing cost reduction through global sourcing, and presenting alternative cost-effective approaches to design. |

| Brian has since retired, and GPSI is currently managed by a second generation of the Smith family, Brian's son Bill. The head office was relocated to Cambridge, Ontario in 2007 and GPSI has been an active member of the Cambridge region community ever since.
